Transcriptions of the Mellby ministerial books (Church records)

Åke Mosskull has made a great job on documenting the farms and crofts in Mellby parish. His work was freely available on the internet and I had a lot of use of it, but it now seems to be gone. That is why I will make my transcriptions available for those interested in this area. It would also complete the records within Eksjö kommun up until the beginning of the 19th century on may web page (except Eksjö itself). For later records I recommend Arkiv Digital. The death records after 1815 can be found in the Swedish Death record (Sveriges dödbok) (although not for free).
So far I have transcribed the marriage record from 1685 to 1860 and the death record from 1696 to 1829 (some years missing in the records). I have decides to make this available although I am have just about started with the transcription of the birth records. Hopefully they will be available as time allows.
There are very many witnesses (godparents) named in the early records for Mellby. To make the table more readable the witnesses are now hidden and you must press the button above the table to show them (new feature). I will make this default in the future also for other parishes.
